As a Kinesiology student, here are some important things to know about the required KINternship:
- It can only be completed once you achieve Senior status (88 credits)
- You are responsible for finding your own site
- You must be enrolled in KIN 492/493/496 for the internship to count as your KINternship graduation requirement
- If you are taking KIN 493 or KIN 496 you must have KIN 411 completed
Simplified steps to follow
- Step 1: Complete the 1.5-hour module on D2L and save a copy of the Certificate of Completion
- Step 2: Find an internship in a Kinesiology-related setting (health, wellness, fitness, sport, etc.)
- Step 3: Have the internship site fill out the Affiliation Agreement (if they aren’t already affiliated with MSU)
- Step 4: Send the Site Approval Questions to Keri Morrison to get your KINternship approved
- Step 5: Attach the Email of Approval and your Criminal Background Check to your Application to Enroll (found on the KINternship website) to be enrolled in the course by the KIN department.
