The ECHO Lab is housed within a 700 sq ft space on the campus of Michigan State University. It features a variety of equipment to assess cardiovascular health both a rest and during exercise. Key equipment includes a portable ultrasound with vascular and cardiac probes, a stress echobed, non-invasive pulse tonometer, photoplethysmographic sensors, automated auscultatory and oscillometric blood pressure devices, and data acquisition (PowerLab) and analysis (LabChart, EchoPAC) stations. The space also features a meeting area and graduate student workspaces. Exercise equipment including treadmills, cycle ergometersĀ and metabolic carts are available down the hall from the ECHO Lab in the Human Energy Research Laboratory.
