Herbel-Eisenmann wins AMTE Early Career Award

Associate professor of teacher education Beth Herbel-Eisenmann has received the 2009 Early Career Award from the national Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE).

The award recognizes one early career AMTE member each year for their contributions as a mathematics teacher educator in the areas of teaching, service and scholarship.

Herbel-Eisenmann will be recognized at the AMTE Conference in Irvine, CA, in January 2010. In addition, she will contribute an article for the Summer 2010 AMTE Connections newsletter and lead a mentoring session for other early-career mathematics teacher educators at the 2011 annual AMTE meeting.
