March 26, 2010

Michigan State University kinesiology graduate Michelle Rzepka will compete in the Olympic bobsled competition again today in Vancouver after finishing in seventh position Tuesday.

Rzepka, who received her bachelor’s degree from MSU in 2005, is the brakeman for teammate Shauna Rohbock, who won the Silver Medal in Torino.

While at MSU, Rzepka was a Big 10 indoor and outdoor pole vault champion. She joined the U.S. World Cup bobsled team as a rookie in 2007, and finished in the top-10 in seven of eight World Cup races so far.

The Olympic finals begin today at 8 p.m. EST.
