Six scholars from the Michigan State University College of Education were featured on the top-200 list of nationwide influencers in the field of education.

Now in its 14th year, the annual Rick Hess Edu-Scholar Public Influence Rankings (Education Week) honors scholars from across the U.S. who have shaped education research, policy and practice.

The rankings rubric indicates “more than 20,000 university-based faculty in the United States are researching education.”

“Our scholars strive to not only explore topics in education but to also make concerted efforts toward improving the lived experiences of all learners. Seeing several scholars recognized on this listing is another indication of this effort,” said College of Education Dean and MSU Research Foundation Professor of Education Jerlando F. L. Jackson.

A panel of educational scholars and leaders from various institutions across the U.S. selected the scholars based on several factors, including Google Scholar scores and mentions in the educational and mainstream press. The goal was to identify influential higher education faculty who conduct education research.
