MSU at AERA 2025: At a glance

April 25, 2025

Faculty, graduate students and alumni from the Michigan State University College of Education are actively contributing to the 2025 American Educational Research Association (AERA) Annual Meeting. Many are sharing their latest research and being honored for their outstanding achievements. The conference is taking place in Denver, Colorado.

The word "AERA" in large transparent letters overlays a scenic image of a city skyline with tall buildings, mountains in the background, and a bright blue sky with wispy clouds.

Faculty recognition

Professor and internationally recognized scholar Kristen Renn was named an American Educational Research Association (AERA) Fellow in March 2025. The honor recognizes scholars for their “exceptional contributions to, and excellence in, education research,” said AERA in a news release. She joins a group of 29 scholars recognized with the distinction this year.
