Harvi Hart is an assistant professor at Michigan State University. Hart’s research focuses on understanding knee injuries and diseases, including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, patellofemoral pain, osteoarthritis and post-traumatic osteoarthritis. Her goal is to develop targeted treatments to improve symptoms, mobility and quality of life. Her work integrates joint characteristics during movement with advanced imaging and clinical outcome measures. Spanning the lifespan, her research addresses knee conditions in younger and middle-aged adults, as well as older adults with comorbidities such as obesity and diabetes. Her findings have been published in prestigious journals. Hart values multidisciplinary collaborations, with over 80% of her publications involving national and international collaborators. She has received numerous accolades for her contributions, including the Australian Government Endeavour Research Award and the Inaugural Dr. Brian Sando Award for Clinical Sports Medicine.
