Julie D. Helber is an assistant professor of K-12 educational administration. She is the director of the K12 Administration Ph.D. program. She has been serving in the field of education for the past 33 years.
Helber has served as a special education teacher assistant, elementary school teacher, middle school assistant principal, curriculum director, high school principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent throughout her career. She holds an elementary education certification, administrative certificate and central office endorsement, earned National Board Certification through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and was identified as a Milken National Educator.
In addition, Helber holds a master's degree in K-12 Curriculum and Instruction and an educational specialist degree in Educational Leadership. She earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership, publishing a dissertation titled, “Self-efficacy and Instructional Leadership: Does mentoring make a difference?”
