Jungmin Kwon is an assistant professor of language and literacy in the Department of Teacher Education at Michigan State University. Her research centers on immigrant children and families, bilingualism and biliteracy and transnational migration. She is the author of "Understanding the Transnational Lives and Literacies of Immigrant Children" (Teachers College Press, 2022), which was recognized by the 2022 American Educational Studies Association Critics' Choice Book Award. She has received the Early Career Awards from the AERA’s Critical Perspectives on Early Childhood Education SIG in 2022 and the AERA’s Language and Social Processes SIG in 2024. Her scholarly work has appeared in journals, including Journal of Literacy Research, Bilingual Research Journal, International Journal of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism and others.
