Jiahang Li is an associate professor in the Department of Teacher Education, outreach coordinator of the Asian Studies Center and director of the Online Chinese Program at College of Education at Michigan State University. With a Ph.D. in Reading Education from University of Maryland College Park, his research interests include educational technology, social media, online language teaching and learning, and world language teacher education. He has published many book chapters and journal articles and serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for many peer-reviewed journals, including Computers & Education, Educational Researcher and Foreign Language Annals. He also supports the Global Education Engagement initiative led by the Office of International Studies in Education and oversees an online Chinese language program designed for secondary level students in the U.S.
