Kristin Rispoli's research interests include mental health promotion in children with or at risk for developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. She primarily focuses on intervention models designed to engage caregivers and service providers, including teachers, in designing and implementing supports provided to children with developmental disabilities across multiple contexts. Recent work includes the development of a parent-mediated emotion regulation intervention for preschool-age children with autism and implementation factors related to the use of developmental screening among early childhood educators. As a licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist, she values the use of research to address critical issues faced by children, families, schools, and other service providers. Accordingly, much of Rispoli’s work is guided by collaborations with practicing psychologists and other service providers. Kristin has expertise in Family, Community, and Schools.
