What brought you to the SCLA program?
Both my father and grandfather were football coaches, so I have always been interested in the coaching profession. I also was looking forward to developing as a coach. I wanted to learn the different ways that I can lead and better the lives of my student athletes.
What do you hope to do upon completion of the SCLA program?
After I earn my master’s, I plan on being 100% prepared for a full-time coaching position and use what I have learned to help run a successful program. I hope to obtain a full-time coaching job or be promoted to an analyst position at the Division I or NFL level.
What are some highlights of your time in the SCLA program so far?
Some highlights from my time in the SCLA program so far are working with several outstanding student athletes and staff members, and winning the 2021 Peach Bowl!
What has been your favorite SCLA course so far and why?
My favorite SCLA course so far has been Coaching Practicum (KIN 880) because it gave me insight on my coaching style. I was able to examine my coaching practices and identify areas where I needed to improve. I also reflected on what I was doing well and find ways to implement similar strategies for my players.
Fun fact about yourself
I have a twin sister that also coaches! She is an assistant volleyball coach at Montana State University.
