Anytime, Anywhere Learning
Do you want a flexible, learning experience in your own location and at a time that is convenient for you? We offer the Master of Arts in Educational Technology (MAET) totally online, making it convenient for educators to get the professional development they need.
We offer 16 fully online, multimodal courses with a 15:1 student to instructor ratio. Our fully accessible courses are primarily asynchronous, with opportunities for brief, interactive synchronous connections. Courses are facilitated by instructors with robust online teaching experience and a dedication for supporting all learners.
Students typically complete the degree within 2 years.
After being admitted to the program, you will meet with your advisor to devise a program plan outlining your schedule of courses. For sample program plans, check out our MAET Student Handbook.
All MAET students are required to take:
- CEP 800: Learning in School and Other Settings
- CEP 807: Capstone in Educational Technology
- CEP 822: Approaches to Educational Research
Graduates of MSU’s teaching internship may be able to transfer credits toward their degree.
The GRE is not required to apply to the MAET or GC programs.
