Each Summer, the Post-BA, Michigan State University, World Language Teacher Certification Programs’ (WLTCP) teacher candidates lead engaging and educational opportunities for children interested in learning Chinese-right from the comfort of home.
We are proud to offer a place where children love to learn! Our MSU teacher candidates bring energy, creativity, and passion for education to each session. Best of all, everything is completely free for everyone! Whether your child is just starting out or wants to build on what they’ve already learned, we’re here to help them grow.

Virtual Chinese Summer Camp 2025
One-Week Virtual Chinese Summer Camp

For 6-12 Graders ONLY
June 9-June 13, 2025
Session: Monday through Friday, 1:30p-3:00p
WLTCP’s one-week virtual camp is full of fun, interactive sessions where participants will:
~Learn basic Chinese greetings and words through song and games
~Participate in cultural activities
~Have the opportunity to socialize with other participants
~Gain confidence in Chinese in a safe, supportive space
Online Chinese Tutoring Summer 2025
Two-Week Online Chinese Tutoring

June 16-July 10, 2025
Tuesday/Thursday Sessions: 12:30p-1:15p EST; 1:30p-2:15p EST; 2:30p-3:15p EST, 3:30p-4:15p EST
Wednesday Sessions: 10:00a-10:45a EST; 11:00-11:45a EST; 12:00p-12:45p EST; 1:00p-1:45p EST

Participants will enjoy two weeks of personalized sessions of online tutoring. Some of the activities they may be involved in can include:
~Focused vocabulary and sentence-building practice
~Help with annunciation, pronunciation and understanding tones
~Cultural insights to enrich their language learning journey
