We love talking about online course design, teaching, and learning! On Monday, May 10, 2021, Team MAET members Liz Boltz and Candace Robertson joined Antoinette Tessmer as panelists in the “D2L Course Setup & Showcase” organized by MSU IT. In the session, they supported instructors across MSU in designing online learning experiences for Summer 2021 and beyond.
During the workshop, Boltz and Robertson highlighted features of MAET courses CEP 817: Learning Technology by Design and CEP 815: Technology and Leadership. Boltz and Roberston provided an overview of the course structure, engagement opportunities, core projects and technologies in the courses. They then shared workflow tips and answered questions in a panel discussion that followed the showcase. During the discussion, they shared how we approach MAET course design and revision to provide some foundation for participants who are in different stages of creating and teaching online courses.
Having thoughtful, intentional online course design and structure is a priority for MAET and we were happy to be in a space to share ideas and learn from others. You can view the workshop on MediaSpace.
