The Master of Arts in Learning Experience Design (MALXD) program has received wonderful feedback for our recent four-part Wednesday Workshop series. We’ve loved connecting with everyone through conversation and shared questions and ideas! This made us think…how can we bring these opportunities to more designers? That led us to the idea of the MALXD Workshop Sprint Series – a focused repeat of our four interactive sessions that build knowledge through connection to practice and conversation.
These engaging workshops dive deep into critical and creative topics within learning experience design: social justice, accessibility, AI, and creativity. You’ll come away with strategies and mindsets to craft more inclusive and innovative learner experiences. Sign up for one or all workshops!

Workshop 1: Social Justice and LXD
Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 1:00-2:00pm ET
Use your critical lens to examine the ways that learning experience design (LXD) and social justice intersect. You’ll experience collaborative design, sharing, and strategies for change-making. Through an interactive and inclusive learning experience that honors your expertise and context, we will challenge ourselves to pursue more equitable and inclusive learning spaces, practices, and philosophies.
Workshop 2: Accessibility and LXD

Explore the crucial role that accessibility plays in designing equitable and inclusive learning experiences and environments. You will gain practical knowledge of accessibility through collaborative activities and engaging discussions.
Workshop 3: AI and LXD

Build your knowledge of AI in learning experience design through key terms, platforms, and practices that impact you and your learners. Engage in critical conversations to discuss and address the problematic challenges of AI.
Workshop 4: Creativity and LXD
Friday, May 3, 2024 from 2:30-3:30pm ET
Spark your creativity! Open up possibilities for learning experience design through playful activities with peers who are interested in bringing critical and creative learning experiences to their communities. Together, we’ll engage in strategies that build our understanding of ways to think about creativity in LXD and discuss challenges and considerations for design. Apply creative twists to support your work and engage your learners.
