Spyros Konstantopoulos is professor of Measurement and Quantitative Methods. His methodological work focuses on applications of multilevel models in experimental design and meta-analysis. His substantive work encompasses research on teacher and school effectiveness, and educational evaluation and policy. He teaches courses in educational statistics including multivariate analysis, multilevel modeling, and meta-analysis. He received his Ph.D. in research methods in education from the University of Chicago. Before joining MSU faculty in 2009 he was a faculty member at Northwestern University and Boston College. His methodological work has been published in prestigious journals such as Educational and Psychological Measurement, Journal of Experimental Education, Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness, and Multivariate Behavioral Research. His substantive work has been published in first-rate journals such as American Educational Research Journal, American Journal of Education, Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, School Effectiveness and School Improvement and Teachers College Record.
