The Educational Leadership department at Miami University in Ohio is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor in the Student Affairs in Higher Education (SAHE) program to teach in two of the following areas: Diversity, Equity, and Culture in Student Affairs; Student Affairs Leadership and administration; Student Development Theory; and Inquiry in Student Affairs; advise master’s and doctoral students, including serving on committees; conduct research; secure grant funding; assist with program administration and provide service to the institution.
Require: Earned doctorate in Higher Education/College Student Personnel/Student Affairs or area directly related to college student affairs, by date of appointment; excellent teaching skills; promise of research and scholarship; commitment to student advising and mentoring; experience in student affairs or related practice; ability to assist in program administration; knowledge of multicultural education or background in and commitment to working with diverse student populations.
Prefer: Ability to add to the diversity of the faculty; fundable research agenda or successful grant record; readiness to direct dissertations; demonstrated professional involvement; ability to contribute primarily to the Student Affairs in Higher Education program and secondarily to the broader Department of Educational Leadership.
