Access restricted data sets

December 1, 2015

Margaret Levenstein, Executive Director of the Michigan Federal Statistical Research Data Center at the University of Michigan, will make a presentation on opportunities to access restricted data through the Center.

MSU recently purchased a “seat” in the Michigan RDC, so MSU researchers now have access to these data without charge. (It usually costs $20K per year.) These data include restricted Census, NCHS, BLS, and AHRQ survey and administrative microdata on households and firms. They are different from publicly available data in a number of ways, including much more detailed geography and the ability to link to other data.

Presentation will be held on Friday, December 4th at 10:00-11:00 in the Koo Room of Marshall-Adams Hall.
