Diversity, Learning, and Student Success:
Shifting Paradigms and Challenging Mindsets

A Network for Academic Renewal Conference
March 17-19, 2016
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Proposals due Wednesday, August 19, 2015

The Association of American Colleges and Universities is pleased to announce the Call for Proposals for AAC&U’s 2016 Conference on Diversity, Learning, and Student Success: Shifting Paradigms and Challenging Mindsets.

The conference is designed to advance a national conversation on the power of collaboration and community-building in identifying evidence-based strategies that advance high-quality learning environments.  Embracing the complexities of our shared history, the conference aims to foster a robust discourse on the intersections of inclusion, diversity, equity, and learning for all.  It will engage participants in “courageous conversations” that are problem-oriented and solution-driven—designed to expand our abilities to fully serve and prepare all students for lifelong success and engaged citizenship.

We invite proposals that showcase evidence-based practices that reflect any of the themes below, and that can be adapted readily to a wide range of institutional types, including community colleges and minority-serving institutions.

  • Challenging Mindsets to Advance Diversity, High-Quality Learning, and Student Success
  • Shifting Paradigms Across the Curriculum
  • Emerging Innovations and the Campus Experience
  • Developing Guided Learning Pathways to Enhance Student Success

AAC&U invites you to join with colleagues at this year’s conference to advance inclusion, diversity, equity, and learning for all.
