GA Open Position: Instructional Design

Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a 50% time graduate assistant (Teaching Exclusion) to serve as instructional designer to work with faculty as well as team members (artists, programmers, student developers) to consult, develop, and produce complete technology-enhanced courses in online, blended and face-to-face courses.

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in education, education technology, education psychology, instructional design, communication, digital media art, information systems, or information technology; one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in Web design, instructional design, faculty development, interaction design, information architecture design, project management, and education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Current enrollment in a Master’s or Doctoral degree in related fields; excellent communication skills; instructional design background; experience with learning/course management systems; knowledge of current and emerging instructional technology; experience with multimedia tools, including digital video, and other emerging technologies related to delivery of interactive content over the Internet; ability to work well in a team environment.

This is a 50% time position for 1 year at $18,000/year stipend. Tuition support is included.
