Senior lecturer in student affairs- Vanderbilt University

The Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations of Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College invites applications for the position of senior lecturer in student affairs. Preference will be given to applicants with advanced training and/or extensive experience in the student affairs profession. Qualified candidates should have an earned doctorate in higher education administration (or in a closely allied field).  The role for this senior lecturer position is primarily instructional; therefore, evidence of teaching excellence is critical.
The position is in the higher education administration program. The faculty member will teach courses in theories of college student development, in student diversity, and in higher education administration, and will direct the student practicum requirement and be assigned other administrative duties in support of the program. There are also opportunities for teaching in the department’s undergraduate programs.

Applicants should submit a cover letter addressing their qualifications; curriculum vitae; a one-page teaching statement; evidence of effective classroom instruction, including teaching evaluations and two sample syllabi; and the names and contact information of three references.
