The American Council on Education’s (ACE) Graduate Research Associate Program is housed in ACE’s Center for Policy Research and Strategy (CPRS) and is designed to provide graduate students a ‘real-world’ policy research experience within a leading national higher education association in Washington, D.C. Representing the interests of campus executives and leaders of higher education associations and organizations, ACE provides leadership on key higher education issues and influences public policy through advocacy, research, and programmatic initiatives.
Essential Job Duties or Tasks:
The primary responsibility of a Graduate Research Associate is to support and work with CPRS staff to conceptualize, design, produce, and disseminate research that aligns with the center’s research areas. Graduate Research Associates are expected to attend internal meetings as well as policy conferences and events outside the organization. Applicants must be currently enrolled in or have recently completed an accredited master’s or doctoral degree program.
Stipend: $24,000 ($3,000 per month)
Appointment: 3 positions available; September 1, 2016 – April 28, 2017, full-time position (35 hours per week)
