The Office of International Studies in Education would like to invite interested graduate students to join a writing/discussion group around the broad topic of global learning experiences.
The first meeting will be held this coming Friday, September 14th, from 10am to noon, 133F Erickson.
This is the third year for this group. During the two hours we often have someone in the group share about a topic they are working on, which might be for a course, conference presentation, dissertation, or other research. Some of the topics have included bringing global perspectives to professional education curriculum, experiences of international students around college choice, and teacher identity in a teaching abroad program. We generally use the first part of the meeting time for group discussion and the rest of the time for individual writing.
Remaining meetings for the fall semester will be the following Fridays from 10am to noon – locations pending: September 28th, October 12th, October 26th, November 9th, and November 30th.
