The School of Education at the University of Colorado Boulder seeks a visiting faculty member for an appointment of one or more years, with the possibility of renewal, to join our Educational Foundations, Policy and Practice program area. This faculty member will be the faculty director of our MA in Higher Education program, which was initiated in 2017. The visiting professor should be able to teach a range of courses in Higher Education and, ideally, more broadly in Educational Policy to masters and doctoral students. The hire must have a doctorate in education or a related field. Because of the faculty director responsibilities, our preference is that the person has been tenured or has served in leadership positions. The candidate should have strong teaching experience, as well as an active and coherent research agenda and strong publication record.
This scholar will join an internationally recognized faculty whose deep commitments to equity and access are reflected in our research, policy, and practice. We seek a scholar who is committed to addressing the pressing educational challenges facing our country from a wide array of methodological and disciplinary perspectives and who is committed to working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations. We are united as faculty, staff and students by our shared commitment to democracy, diversity, equity, and justice through evidence-based policy and practice.
Letters of interest, along with a curriculum vitae, should be sent directly to Dean Kathy Schultz at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject heading “visiting faculty position.”
