“The Complexities, Challenges, and Possibilities in Global Higher Education”

Based on their current research, this panel will feature three HALE faculty’s insights and perspectives on the most pressing issues facing global higher education. By covering various scales (i.e., ranging from individual to institutional, to transnational actors/processes) of global higher education issues, the panel will offer micro/macro accounts of current global higher education trends. Such issues include internationalization initiatives, “capacity building,” global mobility of international faculty and students, world class initiatives, and global university rankings.
