Dear HALE MA, SAA, and PhD Students –
Next semester, we (Drs. Dongbin Kim and Leslie D. Gonzales) will teach EAD 972: International Comparative Higher Education. This course will include travel to South Korea in late May 2020 (tentative dates: May 22-29).
In this class, we will explore higher education organization and governance and the role and responsibilities of professors in South Korean higher education. We will also explore how transnational and international relations shape professorial work. Although the logistics are not finalized, we are hopeful that MSU students will have the opportunity present work at an academic conference during our visit to South Korea.
In addition to our travel, we will meet 4 times during the spring semester to discuss international and comparative higher education.
