Study Abroad Opportunity: Stony Brook University

February 12, 2019

The Higher Education Administration Program will be running the Italy Study Abroad Program during the period July 7 to July 21, 2019 for graduate study.  The course offered is Comparative University Systems and will begin with a cultural learning experience in Rome and the Tuscan coastline cities and then include visits to five institutions of higher education in the historic city of Florence. Course participants will learn about the history of higher education in Italy, develop an understanding of the critical issues that impact students, faculty and administrators in Italy’s higher education institutions today. They will then compare and contrast this experience to colleges and universities in the United States. Students will gain an academic and cultural experience that will contribute to their global knowledge and intercultural competency since they are integral components of today’s university strategy.

The application deadline is March 1, 2019.  There are still some spots available for non Stony Brook students.  Please share this information with your respective students in the event they wish to apply to this program.
