The Journal of College and University Student Housing seeks manuscripts that reflect upon, update, and discuss trends in campus housing. A Trends essay is based on a journal article written more than 20 years ago (prior to 2001) from any education journal, with articles from the Journal preferred. This is not new research, rather, the intent of the Trends essay is to discuss how the field of residence life and housing has or has not changed or improved on the selected concept.
