Call for Research Briefs: National Resource Center

February 22, 2021

The National Resource Center seeks proposals for research briefs on topics related to college student transitions, learning, success, and/or development. Briefs are approximately 1,500 words in length (excluding references, tables, and figures) and are intended to be read by a general audience, including practitioners, educators, and researchers. Research briefs published by the NRC can be found on our website. While not exclusively, we are especially interested in briefs that address:

  • Academic and holistic advising (especially among minoritized student populations)
  • Students’ experiences and support structures within Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)
  • Transfer and transfer-intending students’ pathways and transitions

Interested authors should submit a 250-word maximum description of their proposed brief, including its title, purpose, frameworks (if applicable), methods, and references. Proposals should be submitted by the lead author through this Qualtrics form by March 3, 2021.

We welcome submissions from a variety of researchers, including but not limited to graduate students and early career scholars.
