In the winter series of Grow Boldly, we invite in the theme of Rest & Resilience. With some thoughtful intentionality and flexible planning your rest can grow vibrant roots of resilience to bloom in the spring.
The combined natural rhythm of longer nights with our collective second pandemic winter likely has you exhausted, depleted, and done. You may feel the crashing of the seemingly never-ending rollercoaster of hope and defeat. Rhetoric of care and toxic positivity leads you feeling unheard and demoralized.
Commonly resilience is seen as bouncing back quickly – which underscored the ‘let’s get back to normal’ messaging many of us heard around campus. You may have felt more stress trying to keep up and function at unsustainable levels of productivity and caring for others.
In our Grow Boldly Winter series, we will work through building resilience by redefining understanding of it as integrative recharging and shifting our relationship through 7 types of rest: physical, mental, emotional, social, sensory, creative and spiritual.

You will walk away with:

  • Increase motivation so you can rest AND get shit done more easily without the suffering
  • Learning how to set boundaries and create intentional recharging times to your day so your protect your time, energy, and focus
  • Implementing the seven types of rest you need to create momentum forward so you can gain paradigm shifting perspectives on your work, courses, or programs
  • Reconnecting to what you want and practice being present so you release the tasks and projects that are from others’ expectations
  • Become resilient in the face of writing blocks and create breakthroughs on manuscripts, projects, assessments, or dissertations
