Fieldwork in International Professional Learning

In this fieldwork course, students will learn about developing professional learning programs for non-U.S. higher education professionals. Students will also assist in implementation of a four-week online program on engaged teaching and learning in 21st century higher education.
Goals for the course
- Understand the role of multiple contexts in creating and offering professional learning programs – cultural, organizational, and policy environments.
- Discuss assessment and evaluation of such programs.
- Gain hands-on experience supporting an online learning experience for non-U.S. faculty and administrators.
- Meet with MSU faculty and administrators across MSU to gain broad understandings of different types of international professional learning programs.
Course details
- Maximum enrollment of 10 doctoral students
- Class meetings times will be agreed upon after the first meeting. This course will not meet every week. Instead, there will be fieldwork activities some weeks.
