SACSA Dissertation of the Year Award.  Have you or a colleague recently crossed the PhD/EdD finish line within the last year? The Southern Association for College Student Affairs created the annual Dissertation of the Year Award (DOTY) to recognize high quality student affairs research by doctoral students in the SACSA region. The DOTY award recipient will be recognized by the Association, receive a monetary award of $750, and present/share the results of their dissertation research at an upcoming SACSA Conference or via a SACSA platform (e.g., newsletter, podcast, web series).  More information about the 2021 DOTY Award is available at https://www.sacsa.org/page/DissertationoftheYear. Applications are due no later than July 1, 2021 at 11:59 pm (Central) and should be submitted electronically at https://forms.gle/g1MrByCczGf77sT67

Assessment, Evaluation, and Research Grant. Got a bright idea? Supported by the SACSA Foundation, via the generous donations of its membership, SACSA encourages scholarly inquiry among its membership by annually awarding small grants to help advance proposed assessment, evaluation, and research (AER) projects. Any individual or team may apply for these competitive grants. The average award granted to a single project is $500. However, the selection committee may choose to award funds more than this amount to grant proposals they feel are exceptional. Multiple AER grants are awarded in a given year. More information about the 2021 AER Grant application process, including evaluation criteria, qualifications, application requirements, and submission guidelines is available at https://www.sacsa.org/page/researchgrants. Grant proposals are due no later than July 1, 2021 at 11:59 pm (Central) and should be submitted electronically at https://forms.gle/pxAMsvwttx143ZWz9.
