The CEMS Dean’s Office and the CEMS Office of Student Services at the University of Vermont (UVM) invite highly qualified applicants to apply for the open position of CEMS Career Readiness Program Coordinator. The CRP Coordinator will:

  • Develop, coordinate and administer College of Engineering and Math Sciences (CEMS) career advising program.
  • Manage employer relations on behalf of CEMS, support students in career development with workshops and training in interview techniques & writing professional resumes, cover letters and portfolios.
  • Facilitate internship, co-op and undergraduate research programs and opportunities.
  • Organize events and opportunities for students to network with alumni and professionals.
  • Track career outcomes.
  • Collaborate with UVM Career Center and other constituencies to ensure coordination of efforts.

Essential duties include:

  • Career advising and Planning for CEMS Students, introducing the 4 Year Plan for Career Success.
  • Oversee Professional Events, Workshops, and Lectures for CEMS Students
  • Manage the Richard Barrett Research Scholarship Program
  • Manage Employer Relations
  • Maintain and Develop Internal Relations in CEMS and UVM
  • Coordinate CEMS Internship Opportunities and Engineering Co-Op Program
  • Creation and Implementation of Academic Semester Internship Credit Processes

Salary range: $33,200 – $63,100
