Responsibilities

Residence Hall Directors provide leadership and oversight for on-campus residential communities and processes. Duties include management of in-hall student resources; supervising and coordinating hall personnel including implementing a residential curriculum; administering judicial cases; responding to emergency situations while serving in an on-duty rotation; promoting strong relationships among hall residents, staff and other University constituencies; supporting staff development; promoting student learning and development in all job responsibilities; supporting summer orientation, camps and conference operations; and other duties as assigned.

Annual salary is $26,200, along with a University benefits package, on-campus housing and a meal plan.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include an earned bachelor’s degree; residence hall and/or student leadership/services experience; demonstrated communication skills; the ability to work well with diverse populations and personalities; and a commitment to student learning and development.

Preferred qualifications include residence life staff experience; experience as a team player; experience as a team builder; mediation or other interpersonal communication experience; presentation skills; and/or demonstrated leadership/supervisory success.
