Looking for a summer course? Need RCR hours? I will be offering a fully online version of KIN 895, Research Ethics, a one-credit class that will run 5/4/21 β 5/28/21. This course will be offered completely online, in an asynchronous format.
This course is meant to encourage critical thinking and reflection regarding the ethical decisions that students and researchers face during their academic careers. The content will consider topics related to:
- collegial interactions
- authorship, publication, and reviewing practices
- data management
- ownership of data and intellectual property;
- conflicts of interest
- protection of human and animal subjects
- lab safety and compliance
The content of the class can be counted for your required Responsible Conduct of Research & Scholarship (RCR) hours. In order to facilitate recording your hours, check with the RCR requirements of your specific department/program.
If you have any questions about this course, contact Dr. Kimberly Kelly (kmaier@msu.edu).
**SPECIAL NOTE FOR COE SUMMER FELLOWSHIP RECIPIENTS: Please contact the College of Education Academic Affairs office to see if you can take this course.
