The Council of Graduate Students is pleased to announce that the 14th Annual Graduate Academic Conference will take place, in person, on February 19, 2022 at the MSU Union. We are now accepting abstracts for poster and oral presentations, and applicants to participate in the popular Three Minute Thesis Competition! Abstracts & registration are due by January 31, 2022. All current MSU graduate & professional students are welcome to participate!
You could win PRIZE $ for your presentation! The top three oral, poster, and 3MT presentations will each be awarded prizes of $300, $200, and $100, respectively. Additionally, the winner of the MSU 3MT competition will have the opportunity to compete at the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) 3MT in March, 2022.
An endorsement letter is also needed to complete the registration. A copy of this form can be found at cogs.msu.edu/gac Please note there will be a $5 registration fee for all presenters. Soon after you submit your abstract, you will receive a confirmation email which will confirm acceptance and provide a link to pay this fee. (Please allow 5 business days before before we are able to respond with confirmation).
In addition to the competition, presenters will have the opportunity to participate in workshops (topics include: the post-grad school career search, stress relief for Grad Students and more). We are excited to host keynote speaker, Dr. Stephanie Anthony, whose talk will follow this year’s theme, “Per aspera ad astra: through hardships to the stars.” At the GAC, you can fine-tune your presentation/communication skills, compete for cash prizes, or simply find resources to enhance your skills, while networking with peers and alums. All graduate & professional students are welcome to enjoy our keynote presentation and all that GAC has to offer!
