Funding Available: QTPiE Emerging Scholar Grant

April 10, 2022

With the support of the University of Vermont’s Friedman-Hipps Green and Gold endowed professorship fund, the Queer & Trans People in Education (QTPiE) research team welcomes proposals for the QTPiE Emerging Scholar Grant. In order to address the void of quantitative queer and trans scholarship in higher education, this grant will provide the opportunity for an emerging scholar to collaboratively work with QTPiE to analyze quantitative data on queer and trans college students in the U.S.

Benefits
The QTPiE Emerging Scholar Grant awardee will receive $1500 and will be required to complete the following:
? Collaborate on a quantitative project with QTPiE members, including weekly meetings throughout
summer 2022
? Facilitate a webinar to present findings to a national audience
? Invitation to co-author an academic manuscript
Eligibility Criteria
Given the grant purpose, we seek emerging scholars who are interested in building their quantitative
methodological skills and who have a demonstrated commitment to educational liberation for queer and trans college students. We especially encourage BIPOC, trans and nonbinary, and QT disabled people to apply. We consider emerging scholars any of the following:
