We are currently hiring Community Directors at Whitman College. A Community Director supports students living on campus, acting as an educator and role model. Working alongside other staff members in Student Affairs, a Community Director supervises multiple residential facilities, which involves completing administrative duties and promoting community development. Through these job duties, Community Directors will be able to further develop their leadership abilities and gain experience working in a professional environment with both students and staff. Community Directors also play an important role on campus promoting community, diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism through residence-hall programming.
In addition to being eligible for full-time benefits at Whitman College, the Community Director position comes with a residence hall apartment, a full meal plan, and the opportunity to take one course per semester.
It is a full-time, live-in, entry-level position, an ideal employment opportunity for graduates with a Master’s Degree in higher education, student affairs, or related fields.
