Current HALE doctoral students, Melissa Soto (4th year) and Dalinda Martinez (3rd year) will be presenting to undergraduate Latina students interested in applying to graduate school. The workshop will expose participants to the realities of being Latina in graduate school. Melissa and Dali will provide advice on the application process, funding, and research. They will also engage in a conversation about the challenges and sacrifices that one might anticipate along this journey: balancing a family, social life, and being one of few women of color in graduate school.
The workshop will be on Wednesday, September 26th, beginning at 12noon and will be located in the Chicano/Latino Studies Program (200 S. Kedzie Hall).
